If you want to take a multiple national park vacation, Slot Canyons Inn in Escalante Valley should be your choice for your accommodations. We are located in the middle of one of the most picturesque highways in the nation, Utah’s Scenic Byway 12, which features Bryce Canyon National Park on one end and Capitol Reef National Park on the other. Both of these spectacular national parks are only an hour away from Escalante Valley and Grand Staircase-Escalante National Monument is only minutes away.
If you are a hiker, the Escalante Valley area provides many options, including exploring our scenic 160-acre property, which includes Indian ruins, petroglyphs, a two-tiered waterfall and a private canyon. One of the closest hiking options to our Escalante Valley bed and breakfast is Escalante State Park. Featuring nature trails appropriate for the entire family that wind through dinosaur fossils and colorful petrified wood specimens, Escalante State Park also offers a reservoir where visitors can boat, swim and fish. Two other popular hiking options are Lower Calf Creek Falls, which leads to a 126-foot waterfall cascading into a small pool, and the Escalante River Gorge, which requires hikers to trudge through ankle to knee-deep water through a narrow canyon with arches and scenic side canyons.
When you return from your exciting day along the trail you will enjoy unwinding at your accommodations at Escalante Valley’s Slot Canyons Inn, whether you choose to relax and enjoy the scenery from our roof garden or take in a movie shown on your room’s TV and DVD player. Many of our eight suites include amenities such as jetted tubs, fireplaces and patios. Do not forget to partake of our daily fresh breakfast that will provide you the energy boost you need while discovering the trails of the Escalante Valley area.
