Escalante, Utah lodging is not all created equal. You could choose a standard motel, but for a more relaxing and comfortable stay, pick Slot Canyons Inn as your Escalante, Utah lodging choice. We offer exquisite suites that all feature TVs, DVD players, and comfortable king and queen beds. Some of our well-appointed rooms include jetted tubs, patios and fireplaces. To add to their charm, we named some of our rooms after local natural landmarks, including Calf Creek Falls, Dance Hall Rock and Spooky Gulch. In addition to our suites, we offer an Escalante, Utah lodging option for small groups – the historic Isaac Riddle Cabin. The cabin, built in 1899, has been restored to offer all of the comforts of home, including a fireplace, a TV, a DVD player, a washer, a dryer, a full kitchen and a covered deck offering stellar views of the surrounding breathtaking landscape.

The landscape on our 160-acre property is a scenic gem unto itself, containing a two-tiered waterfall, petroglyphs, ancient Indian ruins, a private canyon and the confluence of the Escalante River and North Creek. The scenic attractions you will want to visit when you make us your Escalante, Utah headquarters are Grand Staircase-Escalante National Monument and Escalante State Park, both located only minutes away, as well as Bryce Canyon and Capitol Reef national parks, both only an hour drive from Slot Canyons Inn.

Grand Staircase-Escalante is home to the slot canyons that inspired our name. The most popular slot canyons to explore are a set of four located nearly 27 miles down the Hole-in-the-Rock Road: Dry Fork of Coyote Gulch, Peek-a-boo Gulch, Spooky Gulch and Brimstone Gulch. Dry Fork is the most accessible and the easiest to pass through. Peek-a-boo features a series of intricate holes, hence its name. Peek-a-boo and Spooky require some agility to get through their narrow passages and are not for claustrophobic people. Brimstone is the most difficult of the four to traverse. When you stay at the Slot Canyons Inn, one of the newest Escalante, Utah lodging providers (built in 2006), you will not be far from these narrow gorges and you will have excellent accommodations awaiting you when you return from your explorations.
